“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NIV
I’m listening to this podcast this morning on a sermon about finding out who you’re supposed to be and in it the preacher is explaining how we need to use our “GPS” to figure out gods Plan for us. I think this is a good message for anyone struggling to find your place in Gods kingdom.
G is our gift. What gift has God given us. Everyone has a gift. This could be a gift of teaching or a gift of leading. Your gift may be a gift of caring for others or a gift of singing. Whatever your gift is, use it to the best of your abilities. Everyone has one.
P is our passions. So whatever our gift is we will have a passion for. These things go together. We have to have a passion for the lord as well, this is how we bring glory to God. You may be passionate about ministry or poverty. You may be passionate about starting a church or a bible study. Whatever your passionate about will be worth getting up for and you’ll never grow tired of it. This thing will keep you going day after day.
S is our struggle. We have to struggle to become who God wants us to be. God sometimes pairs people with similar struggles together because they help each other through it and come out stronger together. Struggling makes you better. Try to honor God through your struggles and he will provide for you.
Try to remember this as your praying and searching for gods answers to your life. He will always be by your side so matter how many wrong turns you take.
I listened to a sermon about missions today online and it got me to thinking about many of the points the man made. I thought I’d share it with you all.
There are two types of people in this world:people who are sent on missions and people who send those to the missions field. So those who send and those who are sent. As the body of Christ we must join together to send those that God puts his hand on to the missions field. Out of all the people God calls, only about 20% ever answer the calling. It’s hard and it’s scary. I mean why did God choose those he did, why didn’t he choose someone else? I think many can’t give up everything and follow him. They want to be sunday christians. I’m begging you right now that if you feel God has called you to the missions field, to contact me or someone you know and just say “hey I think God wants me in the missions field. What do I do?” Get started today and go! It’s not going to be easy and it won’t always be fun, but it will be worth it!
If you’re not called to mission then you’re called to send those who are. This means every church should have a way for those who are called to answer the calling. In this section of Acts it’s explained that God doesn’t want you to only spread his word in your immediate family or group of friends but from all ends of the earth. If your church isn’t doing so then you’re failing to answer gods request. God’s Word is not meant just to inform us, but transform us. We are called to put God’s Word into practice – to become “doers of the Word” – to live God’s Word. Acts 1.8 declares, “But the Holy Spirit will come upon you and give you power. Then you will tell everyone about me in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and everywhere in the world.”
I encourage you to pray about this and think about this. I’d also encourage you to talk in your church about this verse. Many believe that this is a pick and choose which you want to reach but just like you can’t pick and choose which commandment to follow, you can’t pick and choose which verses to follow. God is very clear here.
Raise up those who are being called. Pray with them and guide them. Love those who are brave enough and strong enough in their faith to give up everything and follow God. Praise these people. It doesn’t have to be a cross cultural mission, it could be an inner city mission. Whatever your calling, answer it!
Life is a very fragile thing sometimes. One moment everything can be fine and the next minute, disaster. I think most of us take life for granted. Just because your hair didn’t look right or we didn’t get to eat something we wanted for lunch, it seems like we’ve had the worst day ever! It’s time that we all start to look at the beauty in our own lives, and stop comparing our lives to others. God has designed your life and your struggles and your happines for you. It doesn’t matter how your life compares to those around you because God gave you THIS life for a reason. The grass will always seem greener on the other side and it’s time that we all start to look at the beauty in our own lives, and stop comparing our lives to others. No ones life is perfect, even if they pretend it is or they’re always posting happy pictures online. That’s the thing about the Internet, it’s usually full of fluff. With Facebook and Instagram and Twitter people can pick and choose what to or not to share. Some people share everything, some share nothing, but you have to be happy with you. Seek Him and His kingdom first, then all other things will follow. God has given you the best thing for you, now return the favor. Forgive those who’ve hurt you, love those who love you. God has a plan, don’t give up.
Just a bit ago, I decide to contact a friend on Facebook. This isn’t a close friend, or even one i’ve ever spent real time with, just a FB friend that i’ve observed over the past 4 years. At many different times she would post about her love for God or what He was doing for her and as my relationship with Him has grown, so has my love for her life’s journey. I first became friends with her before she was engaged. At this point, I was not a follower, I knew God may exist but that was about it. I loved their story and kept up on their wedding plans. She seemed to care for this man so deeply. It was a love I’d never imagined before. She stated the night before her wedding that she’d been praying for this man to come into her life for many years. I had no idea that I could do such a thing. A couple years later I had come to trust in God. From this point forward, her posts started meaning different things to me, i read them in a new light. Any time one of her posts struck me just right I would want to send her a message and let her know what an inspiring young woman she was to me (even if she was only a year older!) For years I wanted to let her know how many times she’d shown me God’s light in a dark world, but i’d get sidetracked and forget or decide I had something else to do.
So tonight I decided, it’s her anniversary, i’m going to let her know how much her life struggles, and successes have inspired me the last four years…so I did. She was so happy and so thrilled because she had been feeling like she needed to work on inspiring others more and being more of this model I had seen her as all along. She had just been telling her husband a few moment prior about these feelings when she got my message. This time God gave me the idea and I went for it, and it was exactly what she needed to hear in that moment.
The ways in which God works will never make since to the human mind because we can’t even begin to understand it. The moral of the story is go out tonight or tomorrow and tell someone you care about or love just how much they mean to you and what a great job they’re doing in whatever case. Sharing love with others is one of the best things we can do to add happiness back to this dark world.
I promise, you won’t regret it!
I really want to encourage you all to work to humble yourselves daily. God has really been reminding me that I don’t need to have control of everything or know what my life plan is yet. I’ve went through my whole life trying to plan and control the outcome of it all and guess what, very little is going as planned. Better yet, I think I’m okay with that. My original plan has basically went to crap and I’m ready to just throw it into the wind and say BYE! I don’t need any of the things I thought I did before, I only need God. I’m really wanting to work in ministry and share my story with others. God has used me in the past and he will continue to use me in the future. I’m ready for him to do so! Gods plan will be so much better than anything I’ve ever dreamed of. I’m ready to let the adventure begin!
Let your will be done, not mine. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
You know, life is gonna suck sometimes and sometimes it feels like nothing is happening but I think it’s in those moments when God is working the most. We expect an instant answer like we want an instant text, but God doesn’t work like the world does. He’s on His time! He’s moving in me and he’s moving in you!
It’s an amazing thing when God takes your pain away. Sometimes we’re faced with decisions in our lives and we’re not sure if we made the right one later on. With that questioning, comes regret and guilt. Also usually pain and heartache are involved. As I’m facing this and questioning my decisions, I looked go God. I told Him what I was feeling tonight and asked what to do. I started reading scripture and pretty quickly I forgot all about my heartache. God is so good. He is a loving father. Even though Hes not on earth physically, he wants us to be happy not sad, just like our earthly fathers. He wants us to love others and forgive. While you may never get chances to change your wrongdoings, God does offer a second chance at life. Give it up, and hand it over. No matter how great life is, highs always become lows, and it’s in these lows you must seek HIM.
You will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart. ❤️❤️❤️
While the pain of life’s choices may never truly disappear, God can lessen the pain and replace is with love and hope.
Everyone must read this book! I don’t care if you read every day or if you read a book once every five years, this book is impossible to put down. Chasing God will open up your eyes to the things that God puts right in front of you that you often overlooked. I usually found that most books made me want to fall asleep so I’d read before bed if I couldn’t sleep but I’ve read over half of this book in just 2 days!! God will shape your heart when you seek Him. God will open doors for you when you seek Him. God will change you when you seek Him!!! This won’t be a mistake or a regret. In the least you may say ‘eh I don’t care about poverty or abuse’ and walk away from the book, but in the most, it’ll forever change your life. This book will break your heart in a way that God will use it to guide you to the next step in your life. Children and adults are faced daily, worldwide with neglect and abuse from those they only wish to love. God is with all these people and loves them, and you equally. This story is about Roger and his life that started in an abusive home in Taiwan then led to San Francisco. He was homeless then full of love and the Lord. He faced his fears and changed so many lives. So can you! God loves to take ordinary everyday people, and make them extraordinary!

I can’t even explain how wonderful it is. God loves you and He wants you to love Him as well. Take a small chance and give it a go! I got my copy for $2 on Amazon, so get on it!
How we spend our lives reveals how we value the impact of the gospel of Christ on our lives. Those who value Christ will spend his or her life in a particular way.
I’ve been reading about the advantages of adult coloring books: destressing, calming, relaxing. So tonight I decided I’d give it a try. I bought the Whatever Is Lovely coloring book at Walmart. This is my first go at it. Enjoy ❣ remember, blessed are those who keep my ways.
